Welcome!

Welcome to Noodlez-N-Rice!

We are a family that has come together through what seems to many as unconventional methods (We are a God Family!)

God brought us together as husband and wife, and then put the people in our lives to bring us together with our lovely daughter, aka Noodlez and our handsome son, aka Rice.

We hope you enjoy our daily journeys as a family!

Hallelu, hallelu, hallelu, hallelujah! Praise ye the Lord!

I know it has been awhile since an update. To tell the truth, it has just not been a priority. So, I have decided to share this video, so you know everyone is alive and well and praising our Lord.

Love you!

Family Reunion

The annual reunion in Olney was moved to the Holiday this year. We had a nice time visiting with family, and it was great to be in a room to ourselves, so we could be as loud as we wanted! And, now we are all caught up!!!

Vacation

We were able to take a short vacation in May. We spent three days at Silver Dollar City (Bluegrass and BBQ fest), fed fish at the hatchery, spent the afternoon swimming and mini golfing with our extended family on Friday that we met in China in 2010 (Hamptons), ate Danna's BBQ, spent some time at Table Rock Lake, went swimming, played in the Country Club lawn sprinklers (you might be a redneck...if), the only two rides that Jaxon liked was the flooded mine (because he got to shoot guns) and the lady bugs, so I had to include pics of him on both. Dad and Mom got to ride the Powder Keg and Wildfire, which are two of our favorite coasters. Although, Audrie was super scared and crying because she did not think it was safe and we rode it. Jaxon loved the ladies at the Saloon show!

Water Babies

We are slowly but surely convincing Jaxon that water is fun to play in, not just drink and bath in. And, I had to add a picture to explain the hands under the chin. Audrie calls this the princess smile. She has been doing it since we went to China. So, now Jaxon thinks this is what short people should do when they look at the camera... so enjoy my princesses:-)

Princess Noodlez 4th Birthday!

We celebrated a little different this year! It was Jerry's Grandmother's 90th Birthday, so we celebrated with the Mayhalls, and extended family after the 90th birthday celebration. Then, we stayed the night at mom and dad's house and celebrated again on Sunday (along with celebrating Mother's Day too) after Aaron and family returned from Eric's State Track Meet. Then, we even celebrated with just the four of us on Monday after we got home (Monday was her birthday).

Audrie is really into Princesses right now, so I worked hard baking cupcakes and making cake for two birthday events.

Mayhalls - Punzel cake with princess cupcakes

Janssens - Small Ariel, Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, and Belle cakes with princess cupcakes

We had a great day celebrating with Audrie and Grandma Evelyn! Here are some family pics to share! Audrie has been looking at photo albums and was a little upset with her dad for shoving cake in my face (at our wedding). She said... I am gonna shove cake in your face at my birthday. So, she did.

After a small, unfortunate three wheeled bike accident, we had a nice birthday party at the Janssens. Dalton made a really good Mother's Day cake to go with our birthday cakes.

And, we finished with a just the four of us celebration on Monday where she got a new lamp for her room and a recorded story book. She also got a Rapunzel chair to replace the brown club chair her brother has taken over.

This ended the never ending birthday celebration! Happy Birthday to my sweet purple angel, Audrie Noodlez Mayhall.

Awesome April

I am going to work hard to catch you up on what has happened since we got home from China with Rice. Just a short couple of weeks after we returned, we were very bold and decided to take our 3 and 4 year old to the movies. Really, what the deal was is that Mom and Dad really wanted to see the Lorax. But, it always looks better for you to take kids to kids movies, so you are not the creepy old people at the kids movie with no kids. The adventure was successful and we only had a couple of potty breaks. We were 4 of the 7 people in the theater! What a great deal!

We celebrated Easter for several days! With three Easter Egg hunts, Church, several meals, and Rowan's 7th Birthday party!

Aunt Nancy came for a quick trip to meet Jaxon! She came bearing gifts! Little Scout quickly became one of Jaxon's favorites! We blew bubbles, wrote on the sidewalk, and ate some tacos!

We spent some beautiful spring days at the park!

We were lucky to catch Autumn before she headed to Prom! She is such a pretty princess!

We pedaled Grandma and Grandpa's three wheel bikes to the track and watched Eric run!

And, lastly, we decided to work toward moving back to the area.

What an AWESOME APRIL!
